Do Not Forsake Your God Given Purpose For a Relationship or a Situation

You walk a spiritual journey during your time here on earth, although it doesn’t always feel like it. There are days that take up your full attention and you may even temporarily forget your purpose. Today’s hope is that you will take a moment to re-center and remember that you have a God given purpose to fulfill. He woke you up today. He chose you. God doesn’t forget why He made you or what you should be doing with you life. Us on the other hand, can get quite distracted. We lose our focus, our drive, or our purpose. What happens when we lose sight of God’s bigger picture? We start turning to this world to fill us up. We then seek our validation from people, items, and other earthly mediums.

It is easy to get caught up in your ego and the implications of relationships or situations not working out. To fear rejection and starting back from square one after a break up or presumed failure can feel like the end of the world. Today’s message for you is that it is not the end of the world. If someone walks out of your life, let them. Let’s explore why.

There are two ways in which you can acquire knowledge– through wisdom and through consequences. You do not have to give CPR to dead relationships until you can no longer love for two people. You do not have to expend all of your energy into situations or people who do not serve your ultimate God given purpose. Read that again. There will be times in your life where you must stop and pray for understanding. Pray for God to strengthen you and give you the discernment to recognize the times when a new door is opening for you.

There will be doors that God will open for you that are meant for only you and your growth. There will be people in your life that cannot walk through those doors with you. Why? Because they are not ready. You cannot make them ready. You can preach your faith and let your light shine, but you cannot level them up to come with you. That they must do on their own. So, if someone walks out of your life, hurts you, breaks your heart, or betrays you, let them. God is opening a door for you. Read your bible, grow your faith, and keep your spiritual eyes open. The best is yet to come.

God will send people to help you and to guide you along your journey, but at the end of the day, it is you and God. You can wrap up your identity with someone else as much as you want, but your growth with them will only be for so long. Nothing is promised. There is no guarantee that you will wake up tomorrow. Put your faith in God.

Fill your mind with the word of God. Pray for discernment. Pray for God to open your spiritual eyes. You can ALWAYS count on God to fill your heart up. He will nourish your soul in ways no human being ever could.

Take a look at some of the habits to stop doing along with ones that will lead to closer to a life serving Christ.
